Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids was born in Woodland Hills in 1956. Her mother was at home and was also a mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick began dancing and singing at an early age and would often perform puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. The fairytale story of her rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6 which led to a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she would like to enter the show industry. McCormick's first big job was in 1964 when she appeared in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play the play Wind It Up And It breaks on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was chosen from among 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three daughters towheaded on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The run of five years for The Brady Bunch was an enormous success. McCormick revealed her story in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year period of the show. The actress was only 16 when she was in the scene; he was 19. She stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
